Sheffield Shield defending champion South Australia starts defence with innings win over Victoria
- South Australia has started its Sheffield Shield campaign in the same way it ended the last one, beating Victoria at Junction Oval.
- The two-time defending champions wrapped up their dominating start today, beating the home side by an innings and 40 runs.
- Fittingly, debutant Noah McFadyen took the last wicket of the game when he had David Moody caught and bowled, after top-scoring with 134 in SA's innings.
